Job summary

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, is seeking a Surgical Coordinator for a full-time, in-office role at our Sabal Park location in Tampa. You will manage scheduling, benefits verification, and communications with patients, physicians, and centers.

Ideal candidates have prior medical surgical scheduling experience, strong terminology knowledge, and excellent organization.

Qualifications

• Prior medical surgical procedure scheduling experience.
• Clinical experience is a plus.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls and surgery inquiries.
• Patient counseling under the direction of the Surgery manager and surgeon.
• Verification of surgical benefits and obtaining authorizations.
• Scheduling surgical procedures at credentialed centers and hospitals.
• Communicating and updating patients on surgery status.
• Reconciliation of deposits and copays for surgery.
• Ensure medical clearance, pre-op and post-op instructions are relayed to patient.
• Obtaining proper consents for appropriate surgical procedures.
• Provide updates to surgeon in a timely manner.
