Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 2-4 years of full-time surgery scheduling experience.
• Must follow directions and prioritize.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Superior organizational and computer skills.
• Conversational knowledge of medical terminology.
• Analytical skills and ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient medical procedures with appropriate provider and time/location.
• Request pre-operative clearances from PCP offices.
• Submit bookings to outpatient Surgical Center.
• Provide patients with surgical paperwork and instructions.
• Communicate test prep, arrival times, and other directions to patients.
• Provide patient education while maintaining confidentiality.
• Deliver high-quality patient experience and high level of service.
• Develop rapport with patients to ensure they feel welcome and understood on day of surgery.
• Maintain schedules to meet KPI targets for surgeons.
