You will handle changes, cancellations, and follow-up, obtain authorizations, and coordinate with providers, patients, and hospital staff to ensure smooth pre-operative processes.

The role involves verifying benefits, handling referrals, and ensuring CPT/ICD codes are correct for hospital orders, with attention to patient safety and billing accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, collection, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsabilités

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules.
• Maintains changes, cancellations, and follow up on schedules.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries by researching coverage and prior auth.
• Verifies eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinates referrals for out-of-network patients.
• Manage CPT/ICD codes for authorizations.
• Coordinate hospital items with nursing staff and surgical reps.
• Explain the pre-operative process to patients.
