Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years related healthcare experience.
• Excellent customer service, in person and by phone.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the surgery schedule and provide information to patients and physicians.
• Coordinate, register and schedule appointments for patients according to availability.
• Conduct patient pre-certification on proper insurance approval for appointments and medical care.
• Schedule pre-operative tests and ensure completion.
• Obtains and verifies insurance and demographic information for registration and scheduling.
• Greet patients, answer phones, take messages, and document calls in the EMR.
• Register patients and verify demographics and signatures on required forms.
• Post payments and balance cash, with receipts and notes in patient accounts.
