Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years related experience in a health care organization is required.
• Excellent customer skills, in person and via telephone.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the surgery schedule and provide patients and physicians with necessary information.
• Coordinate, register and schedule appointments according to availability.
• Conduct pre-certification on proper insurance approval for appointments and care.
• Ensure pre-operative tests are scheduled and completed.
• Arrange equipment, room space, and pre-surgery medications as needed.
• Inform patients of preparation instructions and arrival/departure details.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by physicians.
• Greet patients, answer phones, and document interactions in the EMR.
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Communicate with patients about costs, insurance coordination, and prepayment requirements.
