Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Patient Access Registration Specialist I in Montana to register and schedule patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays at the point of service.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate records, prompt authorizations, and a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment, with a Monday–Friday shift from 9:30am to 6pm. Excellent customer service and compliance with privacy rules are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet and email.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors professionally.
• Verify demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Register and schedule patients for appointments and tests.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances due.
• Explain financial assistance options and payment plans.
• Document patient records in the EHR.
• Follow up on pending authorizations and referrals.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
