Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Access Registrations Specialist I to support registration and scheduling for patients and visitors at St Vincent Regional Hospital. The role collects demographic, financial, and insurance information, verifies coverage, collects co-pays, and assists patients with financial options.

The position requires strong customer service, computer skills, and Epic experience. Shifts are Monday–Friday 11:00am–7:30pm to help maintain efficient patient flow and

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet and email required.
Experience with Epic preferred.
Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, required.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients and visitors courteously.
Obtain and verify patient demographics, financial, and insurance information.
Register and schedule patients for appointments, tests, and procedures.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances due at the time of service.
Explain financial assistance and payment plans.
Document and update patient records in the EHR.
Follow up on pending issues including pre-authorizations and referrals.
