Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team in the Oregon region. The RNFA will participate in pre-, intra-, and post-operative activities, assisting the surgeon with exposure, tissue handling, suturing, and patient care per AORN and state regulations.

The role requires certification and licensure, with on-call responsibilities for elective, emergent, and urgent surgeries in the Northwest Surgical Services region.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience.
• RNFA certification and CNOR maintenance per AORN standards.
• Oregon RN license and authorized OR practice required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively during procedures per AORN standards.
• Prepare room, instruments, and equipment for surgeries.
• Provide hemostasis, tissue handling, suturing as directed by surgeon.
• Assist with intraoperative patient positioning and transfer.
