Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks an experienced RNFA to support the surgical team across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. The RNFA will perform advanced nursing care, assist with instruments, exposure, hemostasis, and closure under the surgeon's direction, and participate in regional on-call rotations for elective and urgent cases.

Required: 2+ years peri-operative scrub/circulating experience or 1 year RNFA experience, Oregon RN license, and AORN RNFA certification or equivalent

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a KP OR.
• One year RNFA experience acceptable.
• Must meet AORN RNFA education standards and possess a current Oregon RN license.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively with exposure, instrument handling, hemostasis, and suturing.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and coordination with the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist in room setup, transport, and post-operative care as directed.
