Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies in Happy Valley, OR is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team across pre-, intra-, and post-operative care. This onsite role offers a Monday–Saturday schedule with early mornings.

The ideal candidate holds an Oregon RN license, RNFA certification, CNOR ongoing education, BLS, and Kaiser Permanente OR exposure either inside KP or elsewhere.

Qualifications

• Oregon RN license required.
• RNFA certification or program completion required.
• Minimum 2 years peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a Kaiser Permanente OR, plus 1 year RNFA experience elsewhere or within KP.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Provide exposure, tissue handling, suturing, hemostasis, and instrumentation support.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, draping, and transfer.
• Support anesthesia during induction and participate in time-outs.
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field.
• Assist with room setup, turnover, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care and education.
• Collaborate with surgeons, circulating nurses, scrub staff, and other clinical teams.
• Participate in regional on-call rotation for elective, urgent, and emergent cases.
