Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team across intraoperative, preoperative, and postoperative phases. You will work with surgeons to provide advanced nursing care, instrument handling, patient positioning, and post-operative assessment in a high-demand setting.

The role requires RNFA certification and current Oregon RN licensure with CNOR/CE requirements, and participation in on-call rotations for elective and urgent surgeries.

Qualifikationen

• Two or more years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a KP OR, or one year as an RNFA.
• RNFA certification/education meeting AORN standards per guidelines.
• Oregon RN license and CNOR RN licensure with required CE.

Aufgaben

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively with instruments, exposure, hemostasis, suturing.
• Prepare and assist with room setup, patient transport, and positioning.
• Support anesthesia during induction and maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Participate in pre-op briefings and time-out processes; ensure equipment readiness and turnover.
