Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon City, OR seeks an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team during operative care. You will collaborate with the surgeon and healthcare team to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate intra-operative nursing care according to AORN standards.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, exposure, hemostasis, tissue management, suturing, patient positioning, and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience.
• RNFA certification/education per AORN standards.
• Oregon RN license and RNFA credential required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively with exposure, instrumentation, hemostasis, suturing.
• Prepare and position patient; assist with anesthesia induction and room setup.
• Maintain sterile technique and collaborate with Circulating Nurse and scrub personnel.
