Job summary

Carle Health seeks an experienced registered nurse for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. You will provide postoperative care for complex digestive surgical patients on a 43-bed unit, manage wound care (including wound vac and ostomies), and monitor telemetry while collaborating with surgical teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Required IL RN license and BLS, with first-year commitment noted for sign-on bonuses. Join a high-acuity unit with strong education and mentorship resources.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Illinois (IDFPR)
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Experience in surgical/critical care nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care for complex surgical patients
• Manage wound care including wound vac and ostomy care
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry; respond to patient needs promptly
• Collaborate with surgical team and residents to develop care plans
• Ensure accurate documentation and safety for patients and staff
