Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit in Illinois. The role focuses on high-acuity postoperative care, including complex wound management and ostomy care, with collaboration across surgical teams.

The unit supports 43 beds with a 1:4–6 nurse-to-patient ratio and a 1:3 ratio for advanced care. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants, plus relocation options and a BSN bonus.

Qualifications

• RN license with Illinois IDFPR.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-specific nursing duties and documentation.
• Develops and implements plans of care based on patient needs.
• Monitors post-operative patients and manages complex wounds.
• Educates patients and families on ostomies and wound care.
• Collaborates with surgical residents and OMFS teams.
