Carle Health is hiring an RN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit in Illinois. The unit is a high-acuity, 43-bed service focusing on acute and chronic digestive surgical patients, with a 1:4-6 to 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on acuity.

This role includes post-operative care, wound and ostomy management, and collaboration with surgical residency teams. Qualified candidates must hold an RN license (IL), BLS within 30 days, and a HS diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
• BLS certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire
• HS Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessment and develop a care plan aligned with unit standards.
• Implement nursing interventions and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with surgical residency and OMFS teams to ensure safe patient transitions.
