Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse - Surgery to join our operating room team. You will apply the nursing process, plan and coordinate care for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures, and collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized care plans.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Maryland RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of surgical nursing experience (scrubbing and circulating).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating).

Responsibilities

• Applying the nursing process to plan and manage care for operating room patients.
• Collaborating with the surgical team to develop individualized care plans.
• Performing pre-operative assessments and scrub/circulating functions.
• Monitoring patient vitals and ensuring safety and comfort during surgery.
