Job summary

Holy Cross Health seeks a Registered Nurse in Surgery in Silver Spring, MD for day shifts. The OR RN will apply the nursing process in the operating room, plan care with the team, and educate patients and families throughout the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrub/circulate).
• BLS certification required (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care using the nursing process in the OR.
• Plan and deliver patient care and educate patients and families.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and scrub/circulating duties.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety during surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team on care plans.
