Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for the Surgery department. The role, part-time with a 12-hour day shift, leads a patient care area and collaborates with the Department Director to coordinate care.

You will support evidence-based practice and an interdisciplinary team in a mission-driven health system. Qualifications include a BSN, Maryland RN license (or Compact), and at least 2 years of RN OR/Circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program: BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current RN license by Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN OR/Circulating experience.
• Certifications aligned with area of responsibility.
• Prior leadership experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designated clinical leader for a patient care area who works under supervision to plan and coordinate care at the service/department level.
• Contributes to daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements and drives results of team within assigned department.
• Implements departmental plans and priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
