Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to plan and coordinate services for families throughout the surgical experience, including scheduling new patients, pre-op follow-ups, PASS and post-op appointments, procedures, tests, recalls, and surgical admissions, with interpreters as needed.

Work closely with the operating room to maximize room utilization, manage the insurance approval process, and maintain patient records in collaboration with family and clinic staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare scheduling experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent clinical reception/coordinator experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate scheduling of new patients, follow up pre-op, PASS, and post-op appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, recalls, and surgical admissions; coordinate interpreters as needed.
• Work closely with the OR to ensure maximum room utilization; coordinate the insurance approval process and manage patient records.
