Advocate Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center OR team. This full-time role totals 36 hours weekly with Saturday and Sunday night shifts and one additional weekday 12-hour shift. If a holiday falls on a weekend, you may work the holiday.

Pay ranges from $35.50 to $53.25 per hour. LICENSURE: BLS, CST, and CSFA or CSA must be obtained within 12 months unless exempt. Requires advanced surgical tech training and typically 3 years of experience.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced knowledge of major operative surgical specialties.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and potential complications.
• Ability to remove skin staples and wound drains.
• Advanced aseptic surgical techniques in preparation of materials and equipment.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and responds appropriately.
• Keeps current with computer-based learning modules and safety practices.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare the operating room for procedures and gather supplies.
• Assist the surgical team during cases and transfer patients as needed.
• Ensure sterile fields, gowning, gloving and instrument handling.
• Maintain equipment function and arrange repairs as necessary.
• Train Surgical Technologists and new Surgical Assistants.
• Support department and facility teams on special projects.
