Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months (if required).
• Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is typical.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe, efficient area conducive to optimal patient care.
• Performs procedures with advanced knowledge across surgical specialties.
• Ensures environmental disinfection, safety and efficiency of the operating room.
• Notifies staff of equipment and supply problems.
• Transports patients and equipment as needed.
• Maintains a specialty cart and ensures equipment sterility and readiness.
