Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years or more of medical registration, billing, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules and updates.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries/hospital procedures and coordinates prior auth.
• Proposes iCentra requirements to create pre-surgical FIN# and scheduling card.
• Coordinates equipment and hospital items for surgeries with nursing staff.
• Meets with patients to explain the surgery process, including pre-op labs/tests.
• Documents processes in charts and investigates billing disputes.
