Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules. Maintains changes, cancellations, rescheduling and follow up.
• Obtains authorization for surgeries by researching coverage and prior auth. Verifies eligibility and coordinates referrals.
• Proposes iCentra requirements to create pre-surgical FIN# and scheduling card for hospital staff.
• Coordinates equipment requests and hospital items with nursing staff and hospital schedulers.
• Meets with surgery patients to explain the process, including pre-op labs and tests.
• Scan and document processes in patient charts and relay cost estimations; investigate billing disputes.
