Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to assist patients with all aspects of scheduling ophthalmic surgeries. You will coordinate pre-operative preparations and help patients understand medications, post-op instructions, and what to expect before and after treatment.

The role requires verifying patient demographics, health history, and insurance details; navigating Care Cloud EMR; coordinating between patients, surgeons, and hospitals; arranging required tests and obtaining

Competenze

Requires high school education or GED; ophthalmology experience desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with patients and families.

Mansioni

Coordinate and schedule patients for surgical procedures based on physician recommendation.
Verify patient demographics, health history, and insurance information.
Proficient in navigating and scheduling patients in Care Cloud EMR System.
Act as liaison between patient, surgeons, and hospital for pre-operative preparations.
Explain the need for a complete physical exam, labs, EKG, chest x-ray, and informed consent.
Handle telephone inquiries from patients and families regarding surgery.
Follow up with physicians and labs to ensure test results are received and sent to hospital.
Maintain professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
