Qualifications

• Desirable ophthalmology and medical office/customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patients for surgical procedures per physician guidance.
• Verify patient demographics, health history, and insurance information.
• Schedule patients in Care Cloud EMR accurately.
• Liaise between patient, surgeons, and hospital for pre-operative prep.
• Explain the need for physical exam, labs, EKG, X-ray, and informed consent.
• Answer telephone inquiries from patients and families.
• Follow up with physicians and labs for test results.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to policies.
• Keep supervisor informed of progress, timetables, and issues.
• Maintain a clean, cheerful environment for patients.
• Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, and other regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
