Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to plan and coordinate services for families throughout the surgical experience, including scheduling new patient, pre-op, PASS, and post-op appointments, procedures, and tests.

You will collaborate with the OR to maximize room utilization, coordinate the insurance approval process, and manage patient records, ensuring smooth care and timely communication with families and clinic staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare scheduling experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent clinical reception/coordinator experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate services for families throughout the surgical experience including scheduling new patient, follow up pre-op, PASS, and post-op appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, recalls, surgical admissions and interpreters in close collaboration with family and clinic staff.
• Work closely with OR to ensure maximum room utilization; coordinate the insurance approval process; and manage patient records.
