Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate patient registrations for procedures, verify funding sources, and ensure all required medical documentation is completed prior to surgery.

You will serve as a liaison between the clinic, admissions, operating room, physicians and patients, communicating the schedule and any changes while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Past experience with hospital registration or medical scheduling.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Must be able to travel to off site physician practices.

Responsibilities

• Schedule clinic patients for surgery and manage confirmations.
• Verify patient funding and complete documentation.
• Coordinate communication among clinic, admissions, OR, physicians and patients.
• Communicate schedule changes and maintain workflow.
