Duly Health and Care is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for Otolaryngology in a full-time role. You will coordinate patient scheduling, pre-op testing, and communications with physicians and facilities, ensuring smooth operation of the OR and related services.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology proficiency.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.
• Understanding of referral processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner by phone or in person.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal physicians and scheduling staff.
• Verify patient information and coordinate pre-op testing per insurance.
• Serve as single point of contact for internal staff and external inquiries.
• Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op labs and tests as needed.
• Call patients to confirm procedures and surgeries.
• Explain prep instructions and route to nurse when appropriate.
• Prepare paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
• Verify daily doctor schedules and distribute to staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Coordinate with billing to ensure procedures are charged.
• Cover for co-workers as needed.
• Track case volume and direct cases to facilities per management.
