HCA Florida Heart Institute in Largo, FL is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our team. The role supports pre-procedure coding, scheduling, and coordination between ambulatory clinics and the operating room to ensure timely patient care and accurate documentation.

You will verify physician credentials, arrange anesthesia coverage, and maintain HIPAA compliance while aligning with hospital policies. The position is full-time, daytime hours, with no nights or weekends.

Formación

• High school degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors' office).
• BLS may be required as per practice standard.

Responsabilidades

• Obtains CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information for treatment; seeks assistance as needed.
• Determines OR time and coordinates with facility to schedule; ensures anesthesia coverage and necessary records.
• Verifies physician credentials at the center/facility before scheduling.
• Coordinates provider clinic and facility schedules, including time-outs, travel, meetings, and CME.
• Supports HIPAA compliance and adherence to Code of Conduct and ethics policies.
