Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule office- and hospital-based procedures with the correct provider and time slots.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and imaging as required.
• Utilize the EMR to enter notes and special scheduling instructions.
• Coordinate with vendors and anesthesia groups to ensure equipment and anesthesia support.
• Communicate test preparations and arrival times clearly to patients.
• Obtain prior authorization or coordinate with providers for approvals.
• Ensure appropriate pre-surgical clearances and testing are completed.
• Confirm and follow up on appointment times with patients by phone.
