Job summary

TLC Outpatient Surgery & Laser Center in Florida is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to manage daily scheduling across the OR, GI lab, and 23-hour stay. Under the supervision of the Business Office Manager, you will coordinate with physicians, anesthesia, and staff to maintain accurate calendars.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of hospital or medical office scheduling experience, strong communication and customer service skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of hospital or medical office experience.
• Professional communication, both verbal and non- verbal.
• Ability to manage time and meet high-paced demand.
• Strong desire to improve hospital operations and patient service.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient procedures for OR, GI lab, and 23-hour stay.
• Coordinates with anesthesia groups for coverage.
• Verifies accuracy of patient data (name, DOB, gender, insurance).
• Completes consents and prepares chart submissions.
• Notifies staff of schedule changes and ensures required fields are filled.
• Works with OR director to avoid equipment conflicts.
• Cross-trains with other departments and supports team.
• Maintains positive relationships with physicians and staff.
