You will work with surgeons, operating rooms, anesthesia, and facilities to ensure accurate scheduling, patient preparation, and seamless communication. Strong attention to detail and English communication are essential, with basic computer skills and experience in Cerner or surgery management preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent. Medical Terminology Course desired.
• Former experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to type 40 words per minute.
• Some knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Ability to document in Cerner and Surgery Management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with physicians, operating rooms, anesthesia teams, and facilities
• Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, preparation, and instructions
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
• Ensure all required documentation, labs, and clearances are completed prior to surgery
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records
• Serve as a compassionate resource for patients with questions or concerns
