Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist physicians in the operating room across multiple specialties. You will perform technical and patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and act as a resource for the surgical team.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program completion (or LPN path) plus BCLS on hire, CST or GA LPN license on hire, and at least 3 years of experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with a sign-on bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as Surgical Tech or equivalent.
• Surgical Tech Certification required.
• BCLS certification on hire; GA LPN license or CST certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician during surgery in the OR for multiple specialties under RN direction.
• Perform technical and patient care duties; serve as a resource within the surgical services team.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
