Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist physicians during surgeries in the OR across multiple specialties. You will perform technical tasks and some patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, serving as a clinical resource within the department.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and supporting the surgical team to ensure efficient, safe procedures.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology or LPN program required.
• 3 years of surgical tech experience required, or 10 years total with substitution.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during surgery in the OR across multiple specialties.
• Perform technical and patient care duties under RN direction.
• Serve as a resource and maintain surgical specialties as needed.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
