Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons in the OR across multiple specialties. You will support physicians, prepare sterile instruments, and ensure patient safety under RN supervision.

Required credentials include 3 years of surgical tech experience or 10 years with certification, CST and BCLS, plus GA LPN license if applicable. Certification in CST or Surgical Tech is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• 3 years of surgical tech experience and CST certification required
• In lieu of degree, 7 years experience can substitute for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required at hire
• GA LPN license (if applicable) required or CST certification upon hire

Responsabilités

• Assist physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) across multiple specialties
• Perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Serve as a clinical specialist across service specialty lines and act as a resource
• Maintain surgical supplies and assist with maintaining surgical specialties as needed

Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
