Job summary

Big-D is seeking a Support Technician I for the Technology department in Salt Lake City, UT. You will be the frontline IT helper, resolving hardware and software issues and maintaining productivity for end users.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in IT or related field and 1+ year of help desk experience; CompTIA A+ is preferred. The role includes on-site support and strong documentation practices, with a path for growth in a dynamic, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• At least 1 year of technical support or help desk work.
• CompTIA A+ certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user support requests by phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Assist with setup and configuration of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of support activities and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed.
• Follow knowledge base articles and departmental resources to resolve issues.
• Provide on-site support at remote offices or project locations as required.
• Adhere to company values and maintain confidentiality.
