The individual works in conjunction with physicians, admitting staff and their supervisors to prioritize admissions based on medical needs and bed availability. Communication occurs with all departments as appropriate to maximize efficiency as expediting admission processes are essential for patient safety and timely progression of clinical care.

Education:
Graduation from a Registered Nurse (RN) program.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate degree program in Nursing with an established date of completion required. (Bachelor's degree not required for staff hired prior to 9/1/21).
Experience:
Four (4) years acute care RN experience with two (2) years in a nursing leadership position (i.e. Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Resource Lead).
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Currently licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
Demonstrates at the time of employment and every two years thereafter, competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Education: MA or MS in Nursing preferred
Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Acute care RN experience in more than one specialty or level of care
