Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking an Administrative Nursing Supervisor to coordinate admissions and transfers in alignment with clinical standards. The role ensures appropriate bed placement and swift patient flow to support timely care.

The position requires 4 years of acute care RN experience with leadership exposure, MN RN licensure, and CPR competency. A BSN is preferred; ADN holders may pursue it while employed. 0.7 FTE evening shift with strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Four years acute care RN experience with leadership exposure.
• Current Minnesota RN license and CPR competency.
• Enrolled in BSN program if holding ADN (per policy).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admission and transfer to the most appropriate bed based on clinical needs and bed availability.
• Expedite admission/transfer delays and remove barriers to timely care.
• Support on-call hospital executives for high-risk issues outside regular shifts.
• Contribute to operational and strategic planning to improve care without delay.
• Collaborate with physicians, admitting staff and units to optimize patient flow and safety.
• Exercise autonomy in resource utilization with nursing staff and referring physicians.
