Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group in Sioux Falls seeks a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects. You will supervise material, equipment, and crew, ensuring safety and quality while aligning with JE Dunn's strategy.

This role emphasizes collaboration with owners, architects, and subcontractors, develops work plans, and maintains schedules and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• 3+ years construction experience.
• 1+ years field supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, and QA/QC programs.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and maintains on-site operations and site care.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Prepares and manages project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Monitors budgets and cost reports; tracks project costs.
• Communicates project updates to owners, design team, and authorities.
