Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in the United States is seeking a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects. You'll oversee materials, equipment, and field teams to meet project goals and ensure profitable completion.

This role emphasizes safety leadership, coordinating with owners, design teams and subcontractors, and maintaining schedules using the project management system; travel and non-traditional hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years construction experience and 1+ years field supervision.
• Ability to lead safety culture and manage subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Leads all safety-related activities and mentors staff to ensure an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and coordinates overall job workflow.
• Oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, QA/QC, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages the project site care, custody and control.
• Leads meetings (daily standups, weekly trade, progress, OAC).
• Creates and manages project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and costs using the project management system reports.
• Communicates key project information to owners, design team and authorities.
