Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week Summer internship program in Technical Sales, located on-site. The program develops your technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills, with exposure to a full range of HVAC equipment and building controls across North America.

You will work with Sales Account Managers and customers, understand system design and sales processes, and participate in meetings and on-site activities to build practical experience in a sales career.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Preferred fields: Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Engineering.
• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Some positions may be remote while others may require a hybrid or onsite assignment at facilities across North America.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months and have no major traffic violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with industry-leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of HVAC systems, controls, parts and services.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales/service calls, and customer meetings with mentors.
• Gain hands-on experience in the steps sales engineers take from start to finish.
