Job summary

Trane Technologies, a global leader in climate solutions, offers a Hands-On Summer Internship in Technical Sales. This 12-week program develops your technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills while gaining insight into how our HVAC equipment and building automation solutions are sold.

Actively enrolled engineering students will work with Sales Account Managers across North America, learn the design-to-sale process, attend meetings and customer visits, and

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the internship.
• Sophomore year completed before the start of the internship.
• US citizen or have the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Posting may include remote, hybrid, or onsite assignments at facilities across North America.
• Valid driver’s license for 12 months, ability to provide proof of insurance, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of HVAC systems, controls, parts, and services.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings with mentors.
• Learn the steps sales engineers take from start to finish during the internship.
• Engage with customers to build ownership in the solution-making process.
