Job summary

Advocate Health’s IT Internship provides practical work experiences to college students assigned to HRIS and Information Technology. The intern will learn basic IT functions such as configuration, implementation, support and maintenance of applications to meet the organization’s operational needs.

IT professionals serve as a liaison between clinical operations, IT, system users and vendors, ensuring effective systems operations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior at an accredited college.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
• Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software and systems.
• Assist with conversions, updates, and recovery procedures; assess hardware functionality.
• Help with call tracking and provide initial IT support to users.
• Review data integrity and assist in data analysis to support initiatives.
