Job summary

Advocate Health is offering an IT Internship within the HRIS and Information Technology teams. The internship provides practical work experiences while learning IT functions, configuration, implementation, support and maintenance of applications to meet operational needs.

IT professionals serve as a liaison between clinical operations, internal information technology, and vendors. The role will help develop job standards and guidelines for the internship position, with up to 40 hours per week,

Qualifications

• Enrolled as Incoming Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
• Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and systems.
• Assist more experienced analysts in improving conversions and update procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment like printers, computers and servers.
• Run software updates and backups as requested.
• Explore hosting options and report pricing and options to supervisors.
• Assist in developing new desktops, servers or applications.
• Record customer interactions while meeting KPI targets.
