Job summary

The IT Internship at Advocate Health provides practical work experiences in HRIS and IT. Interns will observe IT configuration, implementation, support and maintenance of applications to meet organizational needs.

They will act as a liaison among clinical operations, IT, users and vendors to ensure smooth system operations. Interns will learn under supervision, perform basic troubleshooting, and contribute to documenting processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and teamwork abilities.
• Good attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues encountered by the company.
• Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and systems.
• Assist with deployments, backups, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Assist with data integrity reviews and reporting as needed.
• Provide initial user support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN-based software and desktops.
