Job summary

General Motors is seeking a 2027 Summer Intern for Manufacturing Engineering General Assembly. The role offers hands-on exposure across plant and corporate locations in the United States, with assignments in Warren, MI and other Michigan and regional sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the specified areas.
• Must be graduating December 2027 and June 2029.
• Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.
• Willing to work any shift, potentially including weekends.
• Willing to work in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product, process, and technology to craft best methods to assemble vehicles and protect the manufacturing process.
• Recommend and validate improvements for existing processes.
• Support evaluation of innovative technologies to address current manufacturing challenges.
• Develop tools to improve program/project management.
• Assist in the design, build, and validation of tools and equipment.
• Program manufacturing technology and assist maintenance staff in operation.
