Job summary

General Motors is seeking a 2027 Summer Intern in Manufacturing Engineering General Assembly. This onsite role offers hands-on experience across Warren, MI and other Michigan plant locations, focusing on process optimization, tooling, and autonomous equipment development.

You’ll work full-time during the summer, tackling challenges in assembly, lean material strategies, and automation. Ideal candidates are engineering/technology students graduating between 2027 and 2029 with curiosity and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in listed areas.
• Must be graduating December 2027 and June 2029.
• Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on assignments in Vehicle General Assembly environments.
• Analyze product, process, and technology to craft best methods to assemble vehicles.
• Develop and validate manufacturing tools and automation for sites.
• Coordinate machinery and equipment upgrade projects.
• Travel to multiple plant locations as needed.
