Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part‑time Site Director for the afterschool program. You will oversee program operations, ensure safety, and lead age‑appropriate activities in alignment with YMCA core values.

You will supervise staff, monitor documentation, and engage with parents to support youth development. Responsibilities include safety drills, policy compliance, program planning, and ongoing program quality assessments, with a focus on inclusivity and positive behavior.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development or management.
• Two college courses equivalent to 100 clock hours.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention trainings are required.
• Pass a local/state background and FBI fingerprinting check.

Responsibilities

• Site management of afterschool program; ensure safety and well‑being of children.
• Monitor attendance records, incidents, and licensing compliance.
• Implement positive behavior management and age‑appropriate activities.
• Conduct safety drills and maintain program documentation and postings.
• Communicate with parents about progress and concerns.
• Maintain enrollment and attendance records; support program growth and retention.
