Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston in Katy, TX, seeks a part-time Site Director for its afterschool program. The role directs program staff, ensures safety, maintains attendance records, and ensures licensing compliance with YMCA and state standards.

You will lead age-appropriate activities, monitor behavior, coordinate with the Program Director, and communicate with parents to support child development and program quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership or management.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with youth at a licensed facility, church, school or equivalent.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention trainings.
• Current TB exam and health department requirements; pass local/state background and FBI fingerprinting check.

Responsibilities

• Site Management: oversee daily operations of the afterschool program and maintain site and equipment.
• Supervision and Safety: ensure safety of children and staff, monitor attendance, incidents, and compliance.
