Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead on-site kitchen operations at our rural summer camp. This hands-on role oversees prep, production, and allergen safety while managing a small team.

The position is seasonal (May–Sept), full-time exempt, with live-in arrangements and a demanding 6-day, ~70-hour week. Perks include competitive pay, bonus, room and board, and travel allowance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
